I hope everyone is staying healthy and sane. These are trying times. No doubt about it.
As some of you know, I work as the internal communications manager at a federal agency in Cambridge. Our facility houses about 500 federal staff and approximately 500 contractor support staff. I’ve never been busier. Our Center’s director tasked our communications team with helping our staff feel connected, safe, and hopeful.
We have a virtual huddle each morning to discuss topic ideas for our internal blog. We’ve done some good brainstorming and come up with some great ideas. One of the ideas is to solicit staff input and gather ideas on how people are coping with our current situation. My co-worker is going to write a blog post about how she and her daughter have been “coping with COVID-19 with art.” They’ve joined a community art project where they draw motivating chalk art on the sidewalks in their neighborhood. That idea got me thinking.
Want a Rustic, Hope Sign?
The kids and I made some DIY rustic signs that say hope on them! We’ve only made a couple so far, but we’d love to offer them to you. You can keep it for yourself or pass it along to someone you think it would help.
You can order by emailing us here. Donations are optional at this time, but can be made through venmo: @MRP-Project or you can send us a check made out to The MRP Project. All proceeds will go to our bags for a boost program.
We’re still putting together bags and are hopeful we can begin deliveries again soon!
