I haven’t posted in a while. May/June is always tough. But with this year being the five-year milestone of Mike’s death, it was especially hard.
I always need to prepare for this time of year. It’s like when you brace yourself for a fall. You know it’s going to happen. You just don’t know how bad it will hurt.
And for me, as time passes, it doesn’t get easier. I take time to truly reflect on all that Mike’s missed in our lives. It’s overwhelming and sad. But this year, I also tried to think about all he brought to our lives and the wonderful memories we have of him.
To honor him this year, the kids and I did one thing to make him proud! And that made us feel good. If you’re missing a loved one, I highly recommend taking the time to reflect and then doing something to honor them! It makes you feel good and keeps their memory alive.
What a wonderful way to continue Mike’s positive influence in your lives. Thank you for sharing this with all of us. Prayers and peace to all of you❤️
Thank you, Sue!
