I’ve talked many times about how our loved ones send us signs. But I’m also starting to see how they orchestrate things from above. As a result, I believe there aren’t as many coincidences as we think. I don’t expect everyone to believe that Mike had a hand in the following story. And that’s OK. Either way, it’s still a really cool story.
About a month ago, an MRP Project volunteer delivered two bags to a couple who lost a family member. I know the couple and was surprised when they didn’t reach out to acknowledge the bags. Don’t get me wrong. I NEVER expect a thank-you or feedback about the bags. And I especially don’t expect to hear anything when the letter enclosed in the bag identifies who nominated the recipient. But in this case, the nominator chose to remain anonymous. And like I said, I happen to know the couple personally.
Fast forward to a few days ago when I received a voicemail from a woman. She said she’d been out of town for about a month. When she returned home, she found two bags on her porch. She read the letter inside one of the bags and that’s how she found my contact information. The bags were mistakenly delivered to the wrong address.
When I called the woman back to arrange a time for me to retrieve the bags, she kept telling me how much she loved the idea of the bags. Guess what? About an hour later, I got a notification from The MRP Project venmo account. The woman made an extremely generous donation! I just shook my head and thanked Mike.
